Some of this work we do in partnership with other agencies and charities, namely, MIND, London City Mission and C4WS.

There are numerous opportunities to help us build the kingdom of God.

We run a Legal Drop-In on Thursday evenings, Homeless Drop-In on Thursday mornings and AA on Saturday mornings. We are also heavily involved in the Winter Night Shelter, providing food and  place to sleep for those rebuilding their lives but who have yet to find somewhere to live.

Legal Drop-In

6pm Thursday

Free legal advice on a variety of issues ranging from housing to personal injury. We offer advice on possible causes for action, and where you can get help.

The Legal Drop in centre at St Michael’s was set up in February 2014 by the S. Michael’s DCC, in response to the cutting back of Legal Aid. The Legal Drop in is facilitated by a team of volunteers from the St Michael’s congregation and community each Thursday, when volunteer legal professionals come into the church to offer legal advice to members of the public.

Since the service began over 1000 clients have been offered free legal advice. The drop in was originally established thanks to a partnership with a team of legal professionals from Osborne’s Solicitors LLP, a local firm who provided legal professionals for the first 18 months. Since then the pool of volunteers has widened.
