Weddings

Due to its geographical location, very few weddings take place at S. Michael’s, but it is a spectacular place to be married and ours is a warm and welcoming community in which to start married life together.

In order to be married at S. Michael’s at least one of those individuals getting married must either live within the parish or be listed on the church’s Electoral Roll, or have a qualifying connection with the church. This will usually involve worship with us for a period of 6 months.

We ask people to discuss weddings and blessings at S. Michael’s with us as early as possible. Find out more about Church of England weddings here.

Banns of Marriage

If you are required to have your Banns of Marriage published at S. Michael’s (because you live in the Parish and are getting married elsewhere) please get in touch with Fr Michael. These need to be called on three consecutive Sundays within three months of the date of your wedding.
